Provincial Championship Registration

Teams currently in the Bluenose League are not required to register for the Championships, as your Bluenose League participation confirms your participation in Provincials.

Teams not currently registered in the Bluenose League must register here by June 26th . Those teams will also have to play a minimum of three games in the Bluenose League throughout July (they will be included in the second half schedule). These results will assist in tiering.

Provincial Championship NCCP Requirements

Coaching requirements for each Provincial Championship can be found here. Every adult on the bench requires NCCP training.

The full slate of courses is posted and now final (there will be no additional courses added)

Please ensure all the coaches on your staff are aware of the requirements and complete their Online Initiation in Sport and Online Initiation in Baseball to register for the clinics.

Criminal Record Checks can also be done through the RAMP system or uploaded there. Verifications from 2020 and later will be accepted.

Further questions around coaching requirements can be sent to our Technical Director, Cory Boutilier.

Provincial Championship Hosting

BNS is now accepting applications to host our various Provincial Championships. The deadline is June 26th. The application can be found here.

Please refer to the hosting guide for information on hosting requirements (also found at the link).

Provincial Championship Tiering and Qualifications

BNS will release final tiers for the A divisions on July 24th. No Classification Tournaments are needed, as all teams will have at least three games in the Bluenose League at that point.

Provincial Qualification tournaments are currently only required at 15U AA. Should another AA division surpass 8 teams registered, additional tournaments may be required. All events would take place July 21st -23rd .

Provincial Championship Fees

The fee is $400 for Provincial Championships. Teams registered in the Bluenose League are not required to submit a second fee (it is covered in your original $400 fee).

Please also budget for your cost share contribution, as essential costs of the tournament are split between participating teams. Cost share can range from $200 – $450, depending on the division and location of the event.

Our Operational Manager, Katie Hagen, will be following up with Bluenose League teams next week in regard to payment.

Provincial Championship Rosters

For teams currently in the Bluenose League, we ask you to please upload your rosters to the Bluenose League website ASAP. Those rosters will be the official rosters for the Provincial Championships. No changes can be made after August 3rd without an official appeal to BNS.

Non-Bluenose teams will be provided with log in information to add their rosters after the registration deadline.
